My family and I took a weekend road trip to the eastern side of the state for my sons' swim meet. These waterfalls on the Snake River in Idaho Falls were a great opportunity to try more long exposure water shots. I took this in the evening after a brief rain storm. The sun made one final appearance casting the scene in golden light. The church in the distance is the LDS (Mormon) Temple.
Oh my gosh -- each photo you post is a total winner. This is stunning as a long exposure. The lighting is perfect and those reflections are unbelievably clear. There is so much of interest in the shot -- and overall it is a fantastic composition.

@bella_ss I had to laugh at your comment, Sheralee. I agree 100% about the piece of timber. It bugged me, too. If I could have, I would have jumped into the river and moved it out of the way. I even tried compositions without it but lost too much of the river flow. Thanks for your comment and fav despite the blasted board!
The water, the main star in this photo, is beautiful; the still portion with its reflections of the shoreline, the falls and its organized flow, and lastly the cascading flow over the rocks. Fantastic long exposure image! Fav.

Oh, wow! Love everything about this! Great long exposure creating soft falling water. Lovely clear reflections, beautiful colours and fantastic leading line of the weir drawing your eye towards the building in the background which is perfectly highlighted by the low evening light. Fav!

This is a spectacular and memorable photo. My eye is distracted by the dark clouds in the upper left corner , but the rest is simply gorgeous. FAV for me.
