On a recent road trip to Oregon, we made a quick stop at Farewell Bend State Park on the Oregon and Idaho border. Farewell Bend was the last stop on the Oregon Trail along the Snake River where travelers could rest and water and graze their animals before the trail turned north through more rugged country on their way west.
It was a rainy morning, but luckily there was a break long enough for me to capture the dramatic clouds and wisp of sunrise color.
