Top Tub Laundry People

On Thursday Evening my local camera club had a 'treasure hunt'.

Basically the members split up into teams of 2, 3 or 4 people and have about 90 minutes to interpret / convert 20 clues into 20 images.

I teamed up with my friend Mike and this was our interpretation of 'People'.

I wasn't going to take part in photographing because I had helped set some of the clues, but Mike arrived a little late and missed a chance to team up with other members, so I said I would be his partner.

Anyway we did a 90 minute photo shoot on Mapperley Top (an area of Nottingham about 2 miles from Arnold)

We started at about 20:10 hours and the lighting was rather poor, so we had quite a task to interpret the following clues:

@sparkle Juliette, I watched them all come out of a local pub together....so yes they were together....and quickly disappeared into the next pub along the road !!

What a cool camera club & a great idea! Love this shot! Nick is always amazed at how many launderettes there are round here and often asks "Who uses them?" I trot out the usual - people without a washing machine and there are plenty of them. I love this shot and the fact you have photographed the TTLP striding purposly by! A treasure chest of a shot! Did you win the hunt with Mike the late comer?

All these themes in 90 minutes?? I'm impressed. As part of a group, do you each think up your own interpretation of the theme and then take your own pictures or do you brainstorm together on the themes? Some of these look very challenging.

@happypat Pat, thanks for the comment. Yes it was a good evening :)..as for our interpretation of 'delicious'..well we sort of cheated...there was a delicatessen shop named ...'deli-icious'...so we photographed that !!!

We bumped into a retired ex international football player, so he became our 'sport'

Thanks everyone for the interest in our club treasure hunt.

This is how it worked:

- We handed the clues out at the start of the evening
- People went out in teams of 2, 3, 4 or 5 people and as a team created 20 images in their own interpretation of the subjects.
- Once they had created 20 team images they returned to the club room (at our local community centre) and handed the 20 images to 'Steve' who loaded them onto the club laptop
- At the end of the evening we had seven teams set of images on our club laptop i.e. 140 images !!
- At our next meeting (a week on Thursday) each team will present the 20 images to the other club members (displayed via a digital projector) and we will discuss and have a little laugh and joke about what we did !!
- At the moment only 'Steve' has seen all 140 images ('Steve' did not take part in a team !!!)

Sounds complicated ?? Sounds Interesting ?? Oh dear is it a bit sad ?? Anyway that's what we did !!! I was going to be 'Steve', because I set about 12 of the 20 clues, but because Mike arrived late I teamed up with him !!!

Phil, love the treasure hunt! What a brilliant idea, I bet its a real laugh rushing around trying to shoot all the themes. This is a great shot for people, the launderette window perfectly frames them, great B/W.

Great movement shot - immediately inspired a particular tune to start playing in my head (but I've no idea what it's called so I can't tell you which one - not very helpful, huh?!)
