Ha ha you are so funny - this is to my mind the ideal companion shot to Top Tub People and I agree the splishes of colour are just great vs the b&w boozy top tubbers I especially like the subtle touch of those worn yellow marks on the pavement edges - a masterstroke! And the two yellow H signs - there are so may interesting patterns in this shot its a cracker!
What sort of dancing do you think ....mood dancing ? Fish & Chips quite pricey in the south then ! Great photo & you at your best picking out a bit of street life !!
@happypat Thanks Pat, I do like street photography, it is social history in the making...in a few years we will look back and say £8-50 for fish and chips...what a bargain !!!
@whippeteer thanks Frances, I did think about doing a 'tube station shoot' but central London is always so damn busy to us simple midland and northern folks !!!!
Yes, the yellow is so vivid, I thought at first it was selective coloring! I love the street scenes you do Phil. There is an immediacy that makes me feel I am right there with you.
Ah, I don't miss London prices .. and London fish & chips never measured up to Northern ones! I like the mid-stride 'action' shot you've captured here :o)
@phil_howcroft I quite agree it wears me out just thinking about it! I was with a pal from Chester last night over at Grays Inn Road, and we were laughing at the way we crossed the road like a pair of frightened rabbits - so very northern! She went to see Jon Snow do the broadcast of Thazzer's death announcement the old witch is about to croak and they have to do it in advance!
8.50 fer chish 'n' fips - bloody 'ell.
Good choice to use colour here, works really well. Another great street shot from you Phil.
