This is s fuchsia from one of our 'new' hanging baskets (if you recall the I had the others stolen)
I was worried about doing a fuchsia that is mainly white against a white background, but I set my camera to aperture priority, selected a wide aperture, Auto white balance, set the AV compensation to +1.67 (two thirds) and then clicked a few shots
I put the saturation up a little in post processing.
The end result is quite pleasing. I'm pleased there is detail in the white petals.
I think I feel a fuchsia fest coming on as I have another plant that looks equally as nice
BTW : the white background is my garage door (they dangle down near the door)
love fuschias Phil - normally I like the deep pink ones best, but this is pretty and works a treat against the wite background, great job in processing
Fantastic against the white background (even a nott so romantic one!!) - what do you mean AV compensation? All that photo course and we didn't mention that!
I could just look at this all day. A fave for sure. Its great that you've told us how you took this shot, makes it easier for when I copy your idea. :O)
Gorgeous shot, your careful planning has paid dividends and great that you have got new baskets now. My dad loved fuchsias so this is a special trip down memory lane photo for me. Has to be a fav!
