Part of our daily walk(s) with Ruby take us by St. Mary's Church in Arnold.
I've posted 4 pictures of the church on my 365, but I've never shared this view. This is a path leading around the back of the church. It's quite a nice little path ...trees shrubs and a church.
I usually like to 'bob down' quite low when taking paths / roads, but as I had whippet, bags, umbrella and camera I decided to shoot from eye level.
Oh this is nice! Looks like one of those old postcards you see at fairs in boxes. Quite timeless, you could sell this to the church :-) One whippet + bag + brolly = excellent picture tho I am with Juliette on this one @sparkle a good image is conjured up!
We all like to imagine you bobbing down low with all your baggage Phil by the sounds of it !! This is a lovely little path by the side of the church & I think the composition of this photo is lovely! I like the placing of the tree ,hedge & then the tower in the middle ..lovely !
My favourite view of the church so far, looks so rural and peaceful. perfect in b/w. amazed you had a steady enough hand with ruby umbrella and bags weighing you down!
@happypat Pat, thank you for your kind words, I was desperate to get down a little lower, but ruby had another agenda, the hedges were too good not to 'sniff' :)
Lovely photo it has a nice timeless feel to it - like the old church :-). I love the idea of a Ruby view point shot! I saw these cameras you could buy that were time lapse and attached to the dog or cat collar so you got a series of shots from their day. Great idea but they were very unreliable so I did not bother. I once saw a tremendous Australian film about a dog that was entirely filmed at dog eye level and perspective it was superb. I have searched for it on the internet but have been unable to find any reference to it at all. It was cult at the the time (70's or possibly 80's I'd guess) and Aus films were very good indeed. Oh dear I am getting carried away...

Nice one, like to see these everyday views. Need a Ruby's eye view at some point.
