Plums

Selective colouring of a bowl of plums ripening on our window sill

These plums are third hand. My mother-in-law's cousin gave her a bag full from her garden. Too many for the mother-law, so she gave some to us.

Macro style shot , selective coloured, to make a mundane shot a little more interesting.
- great idea..&'d the results are amazing :)

This is great Phil & I think you did a lovely job of the selective colouring! I don't know how you get the colouring so precise like that..I can only do it in a rough & random sort of way ! I must say I wouldn't be as keen to eat the black plums as the proper coloured Victoria ones.

Certainly a different way of looking at things. Some of the B&W plums look like potatoes or eggplant which just goes to show how much color matters in our perception of things. Love the pop of color that the natural plum adds to the photo.

Super shot! I thought they were hazelnuts on the thumbnail! My sister in Taunton had a plum tree that was so productive it was impossible to get all the fruit before it fell they were Victoria plums and absolutely delicious she had a few other varieties but those were the best. Wasps liked the fallen ones so they had to be raked up to avoid unnecessary stings!!
