Sunlit Spire : St. Marys Church Hobbs Moat Revisited
I'm revisiting some of my previous locations to do alternative shots to the original.......OK , you got me , I'm struggling for content as I near the end of my 365, so I am revisiting the same spots !!
Anyway this is St. Mary's church in the Hobbs Moat are of Solihull, Birmingham.
You first saw this location in April last year and it was shot with my HTC desire android phone:
This too was shot with my android phone and I tried to catch the sun directly behind the spire so that (a) the sky had no flare and (b) the spire looks all lit up !
I added a little warming filter in PSE (I've used filters in PSE before and they are quite a nice feature to use)
That's it. Hope you like it as much as I do :). Not bad for a camera phone !! Oh and very letterbox too :)
Good letterbox & that is a stunning outline against that wondrous sky !! We are in a church mode today !! I love the way you have caught that sun in the window of the building but without taking away that outline.
@marlboromaam Magggie , well another pinned image , what can I say but a big thank you :) ...you obviously have excellent taste in photo choices :) :) :)
Love the glint of sun through the glass spire. And of course the cloud formations are majestic. The fact that you mention you are struggling for inspiration makes me think you are looking forward to completing your stay on 365 at the one year mark. Any chance you can be persuaded to continue?
..and yep mr h, no limping over the line.. those shots are in you and out there waiting mate.
