It's rotated through 180 degrees as stick insects hang upside down.
The stick insect was photographed at our local camera club. One of our members, Marlies, brought some of her stick insects down to the club to be photographed. We have exciting nights down at Arnold and District Camera Club !!
The shot is a tad burnt out on the tummy, due to some light from the right hand side.
One of your all-time best, Phil. A fav for sure. Love the way the lines of the stick insect are duplicated by the stick itself. Also love the contrast with the soft background and the beautiful overall colors. Wonderful composition in every way.
Lovely study Phil....exciting times at our camera night indeed!!!! Stick insects bring back mixed memories of school days ...weird creatures but great for photos. Lovely colours & macro plus DOF...great picture!
You guys at the camera club know how to have a good time!! Like Pat thesse remind me of schooldays.....always in an aquarium, empty of course!! Brilliant study a fav
You know how to live!! It's a splendid photo. We had quite a collection for a while - they're ok till they have babies which can get through the mesh of the lid and they're all over your curtains!!
