Half A Sunflower by phil_howcroft

Half A Sunflower

Half A Sunflower

Well maybe abour a quarter of it.

Shot on Sunday morning as I was cutting the glass (note - I don't cut the grasss carrying a camera, but took a 2 minute photoshoot brake when I saw the possibility of a shot).

The petals have some early morning dew / raindrops from overnight.

Every 365 needs a sunflower and mine has one each summer.

Grown from the seeds of last years sunflowers :)

Well done - a beautiful specimen. I don't have much success with sunflowers. The mice get them on the allotment and I think I neglect them at home! Are you good at Glass cutting then? I imagined you were doing something exciting, then I realised you was just cutting the Grass!

Beautiful against that deep blue sky. I shoot quite a few of them. They are iconic summer flowers.

The colors are so beautifully captured with the hint of moisture. Well done!

Great job, here. Love the crop. The petals seem to be floating on air.
