A minimalistic letterbox shot from our walk in Gedling country park yesterday

Ruby and Jane on top of a big climb. A bench to enjoy the view over Gedling village and the Trent Valley

I need to return to do this shot again whwn the sky has better clouds, but the shot does work, although I could do with a bit more of a gap between Ruby and Jane

Maybe the bench doesn't need to be in the shot as it distracts the lines !

Well you know this must be a fave....so stark in its simplicity...love it all specially as it features Ruby. Think you could be right about the bench but we can't have everything, unless you are clever enough to clone it?

I love the closeness of Ruby and Jane. I think it is important to the composition. I would like to see a comparison without the bench. You may be right.

Cool shot. I like the two weeks later one too. The clouds are maybe better in the other one, but I like this one over all!
