Sollie by phil_howcroft

Sollie

My sister in law, Helen (Jane's sister) and her family came down to Nottingham at the weekend to visit Jane's parents

Sollie, their Labrador came too.

This is a portrait of Sollie looking all 'labradorish' into my 60D 50mm lens

Eye contact between sitter and photographer always essential for a good portrait :)
Cute shot

He must have been tired to lie down like this and also very well trained - your lens didn't get licked!

Ohhh Sollie!!! What a sweet shot. Such a loving breed and have to love those puppy dog eyes! Really nice portrait of Sollie. I am sure her family loves it too.

Gorgeous shot of an equally gorgeous doggie. Are Ruby and Sollie best mates?

This is fabulous. The sheen of her fur and her deep soulful eyes give a wonderful feel to this portrait. A fav.

Oh, I love this! Black animals are difficult to shoot, but you've nailed it! You're so right - eye contact is essential. My dog refuses to look into my lens...sigh!
