Make me wonder what it is that motivates these people. Some of them go to great lengths on their costumes and are very creative. Good shot here Phil, I love how his ears are bent over, maybe his hat is too heavy or perhaps just too big.
@quietpurplehaze thanks haze, the guidelines for the Flickr 100 strangers is that you should try and share a bit of information about your stranger . At the Steampunk picnic I was just asking for pics and shooting without too much dialogue , so only the one Steampunk has made it into my strangers. The guidelines also suggest you don't take a "photobooth' approach whereby you line 'em up and shoot them at a 'event'. So you will get a few Steampunks on my photostream but only the one on my 100 strangers. Complicated eh :-). I will probably getstranger number three at this weekend's football :-)
Did not know the word steampunk. We had a program on Tv this weekend showing steam trains and there they also spoke about steampunks. Thanks for sharing.
