I went on a seminar yesterday morning (Thursday). I travelled on the tram from school to another scool four stops up the line.
I really like trams / trains / buses / planes etc., but I rarely travel on the tram as the line doesn't go near to our house.
The tram trip was an opportunity to get a 'streetie type' shot....or a 'trammie' shot.
This is on the journey back to work, as a lady waits for the tram to stop an Noel Street
Faffed around with lots of sliders and filters in GIMP to try and create an urban mono. It was difficult to do as the autumn sun was streaming into the tram producing areas of really high contrast
I'm out today so daddy has boys. They have a huge adventure ahead....Clifton to station, station to toton, toton to beeston, spot of food, beeston to Hucknall, spot of food, Hucknall to Phoenix park, Phoenix park to station, then a bus home.... They are extremely excited!!
Nice tones in the b&w. There are empty seats but I guess this lady is standing ready to get off. It was a good opportunity with an unobtrusive little Lumix!
I can just see you sitting there with camera on knee snapping away.......great subject too.....lots of light & shade & strong contrasts. I too love a good tram/bus/train ride..a complete change from car.
@newbank thanks newbank we did a similar trip yesterday (we've been wanting to do it for a while now), although we missed the leg to Hucknall / Pheonix Park as we have done that line before. £5-00 for a day ticket (that's £2-50 each) was a bargain...mind you we spent £40 on lunch :)
