Basford AD 1883

I haven't posted for the best part of a week. The weather has been poor, the days short and I've been out for a couple of nights.

Anyway, here is an old building (now part of an ice cream factory) in the heart of urban Basford, Nottingham

The Victorians just couldn't build plain could they - even this old building has some embellishment. Love the vibrant colour of the bricks against the blue sky.

A cracker Phil......I thought at first the window had a fish in it.....no idea why just came into my head! Love the tall view up into the blue sky & the lovely red bricks! A great date stone!
