Rolls Royce Derby Band in Mono

Rolls Royce Derby Band playing at Nottingham Arboretum on Sunday Afternoon.

The sun shone and the music was good.

Back in the day, most major Factories, Engineering Works and Pits had their own brass band, particularly in the Midlands and North of England.

Nice to see Rolls Royce Derby continuing the custom with a 3rd Section concert and competition brass band

How cool is that - factories ect having their own band! Do the bandsman work in the respective factory? Here every parish on the Islands has its own band club. Love your shot - I envy the way they show up in mono.
