Pub Wall by phil_howcroft

Pub Wall

This was shot last Sunday

I took my camera on my Ruby walk after breakfast, hoping to capture some autumn colours on St. Mary's Park.

The autumn colours weren't that good (almost all the leaves had dropped), however as Iwalked by the Little John and Robin Hood pub I noticed how the low sunlight on the pub front wall was a possible alternative shot.

This is the end result, the pub wall shot with my 50mm lens on my 450D.

Two windows, two signs two hanging baskets , two extractor fans and lots of textures.

I think it needs a person walking out of the frame to add to the composition, but I still think it works well.

If let me know when you are next doing one like this - I'll come and walk!

You always make a great shot out of a simple scene. I would have walked by without noticing. I am learning to love mono through your pictures.
