Looking towards Menorca

Friends on FB or Flickr will have seen this, but for those who haven't here is my artistic shot of the holidays.

This is the entrance to the Playa at the beautiful village of Cala Mesquida, on the North East tip of Mallorca

I asked Jane to pose for the picture by looking out towards Menorca. I strategically placed the beach bag and umbrella and took a few shots.

You can only sea Menorca in the morning light, before the sun gets up.

Converted to mono in Darktable.

Jane never likes having her photo took, so this is about as good as it gets for a picture of her !

Nice minimalism. I like the way the lines of the fence shadows connect Jane to the bag and umbrella. It's the shadows that do that rather than the fence lines, I think. Sort of grounded connectivity.
