You may recognise Melissa as she has appeared on my photostream before. She was a model at Arnold and District Camera Club last year.
One of the members of our club, Bob, has a home studio in his garage and he invited Melissa and to model in his studio. He also invited a few members of camera club too.
This a moody lit shot with brighter light one one side of the face to create structure and depth. Do I sound like I know what I'm talking about or am I just waffling a bit ?
Anyway, I hope you like the shot. You may see a couple of more on my photos over the next few days.
This was shot on my Canon 60D with a nifty fifty prime lens.
I did some shots with my Sony Alpha 6000, so it was a good test for my new camera
A powerful portrait in B/W , the light to the side of the face enhances the facial features and really lights up the eye -- A wonderful and strong portrait -- fav
@dulciknit thanks alison, I really like this but wonder if it is a tad too bright on the right hand side, whether it needs toning down a tad, but then it is all about two sides of Melissa
@dulciknit thank alison , i think a few tweaks will remedy the situation, I am trying for a light and dark side. I rushed the edit a bit in an attempt to post it the same night as i shot it (Thursday)
