Contre Jour Cala Mesquida

I did a photo like this in last years holiday in Mallorca, but that was with quite a long zoom.

I've redone the photo this year using my new Samyang (Rokinon) 12mm F2 lens.

This is my wife stood beside the railings at the entrance to Cala Mesquida beach in Mallorca.

i really like contre jour photos as the direct sunlight can create some lovely light and shadows.

Shot on my Sony Alpha 6000 and carefully composed to ensure the light was contre jour and the shadows feed into the frame from the right hand corner.

Post processed in Rawtherapee and GIMP.

I hope you like this attempt at being quite creative.

Beautiful b&w shot. I, too, like these type of shots, sometimes shooting straight into the sun.
