Tour Of Britain Comes To Arnold

It was the Tour of Britain today and it passsed along Dorket Head in Arnold, so it was a great photo opportunity.

I was surprised how close to the bikes the spectators were allowed to stand, but it made for some great photos.

I like how the safety steward on the right hand side of the frame holds the photo together and the road arrow point the viewer to the riders. Well that's my take on the composition, I hope you like my take on the tour :)

I might post another shot tomorrow, although I still have two strangers to post too !!!

Sony Alpha 6000 50mm . Post Processed in Rawtherapee and GIMP

Great composition Phil 😊

It is very exiting to be there to watch them go by. Whenever I'm abroad around the Alps that is my main wish to see them in a hill climb. You took a wonderful shot of this pack of cyclists, were they the advance group or the laggers behind?

Nicely taken. Soon we will have 15,000 (yes!) cyclists coming past here - our street - on some Velo Run! :(

Nicely captured shot, rather them than me though. I like cycling myself but this doesn't appeal to me.

Well composed - dynamic; it makes me feel as if I'm actually standing there, watching them.

@dulciknit I was going to stand next to the man in Orange , but then decided he was a stopper on the edge of the frame and helped tell the story , thanks for your continued support Alison

@phil_howcroft Wise decision, I reckon. You'd have lost the arrow too and that would have been a pity, it makes a great linking device.
You're welcome, it's a pleasure. Thank you for your encouragement on my work too.

It came through our village last year Phil, so exciting to see. I like how you've captured their expressions, they look exhausted!
