Followers will know , I am building up a collection of vintage lenses to attach to my Sony A6000.
This is shot with my Olympus Zuiko 50mm f1.8 , shot at f4 , ISO 800 using natural light from the window in our lounge.
Some might ask why do you want to shoot with an almost 40 year old 50mm lens when you have a modern Sony 50mm lens? Well the answer is because I can, It;s a bit of a challenge, with manual focussing and setting your aperture via the aperture ring of the lens , but it is "old school photography"
Not demonstrated here, but the Olympus creates wonderful bokeh, so having passed it's test in this shot , I will take it out on the streets
Jane did a great job...and I want to thank you for all your portraits...I've just done a portrait shoot at a nursing home/rehab center and you were with me...sort of sitting on my shoulder. I'll post some later in the week.
I love this and I love what you are doing in building your collection. My Dad has an album of photographs taken with various cameras over the years since he first took pictures back in the 1940s. It is the most fascinating thing.
Looks like your wife is very talented with the camera, Phil. At least as good as you in portrait photography. Both you and Ruby are very photogenic and that sure helps.
@casablanca thanks Casa' the experience of using old lenses on a modern camera is quite liberating and you get great glass at cheap prices
@fbailey thanks felicity, I cannot complete with a little black whippet !
@caterina thanks caterina , old school photography is pretty cool :)
@jclaireyp thank you julie
