We went to Woodthorpe Park today. A municipal park for the people of Nottingham.
The park has a free Christmas event at weekends in December, Various stalls, attractions and music events for all the family
The greenhouses were transformed into a winter wonderland and the music in the greenhouse was provided by Swing Convention,
This is Tony, who is the leader of the Swing Convention and also leader of the Tony Farrell Big Band.
Tony taught my daughters the trumpet many years ago, he must have done a decent job as my eldest daughter is now a music teacher at a secondary school :)
Tony is a trumpet player, but is playing a flugelhorn here (well at least I think he is , someone can correct me if I am wrong)
Shot with my Sony A6000 and my 50mm prime lens, No vintage lenses this time , just the Sony 50mm f1.8
I thought it might be a french horn but on researching - it looks like you are right - a flugalhorn! A more mellow sound than a trumpet! Your f1.8 worked beautifully here!
