We went to Nottingham today , shopping for 'father of the bride wedding shoes' (the official shoes were too pointed and a little tight on me )
Whenever we go to Nottingham I am always on the lookout for strangers to add to my project,
Between Market Square and Speakers corner (the Brian Clough statue) I saw Eleanor and Charlotte on a stall promoting a vegan and green lifestyle. They had pamphlets on Veganism and also information regarding our carbon footprints.
I am always a little wary about asking people for stranger pictures when they are campaigning on issues they feel strongly about as I am interrupting them in their campaign.
When I introduced myself to Eleanor and Charlotte they agreed straight away and were really enthusiastic about taking part in the project.
It had turned quite cold in the afternoon and Eleanor asked could she blow her nose before the shoot, which caused roars of laughter among the three of us :)
Eleanor and Charlotte are both from Nottingham and described themselves as 'Animal Activists'.
As for the picture, Eleanor and Charlotte were on their information stall , so it was a case of shooting them 'as is'. The backdrop to the photo is the Nottingham Tourist information office which has quite a few green coloured signs, so I decided to make the shot mono, which works quite well in my opinion,
Thank you for being strangers 156, Eleanor and Charlotte, good luck with your campaigning.
