There's a big wheel in Nottingham at the moment. It appears once a year for a few weeks. There's probably an equivalent big wheel in a city near you too or there has been !
The big wheel gives panoramic views of the city including the beautiful Council House.
I had my Sony nifty fifty and couldn't get the whole wheel in without getting some tram lines intersecting the sky.
So this is the net result a big wheel and the Council hose dome.
This is a great juxtaposition. Last one of these I went up on was at the Christmas Market in Lille. I went on our more local London Eye years ago. Rather fun things on a bright day, but not in Summer - you roast in those capsules!
Memories! I assume the lions are still there by the steps? ".... meet you at _ o'clock at the right lion" ... lovers words often used after an evening out
