My Mum through the lens of a Vintage Helios 44M-4

I bought another vintage lens at the weekend (well I actually bought two). A vintage Helios 44M-4 58mm and a Pentacon 50mm f1.8

I now have 3 Helios 44 58mm lenses and two Pentacon 50mm lenses !

I went to visit my Mum tonight, so decided to try out my new Helios lens on her.

My mum is nearly 87 years old and now lives in Nottingham in independent living apartments for the elderley. My brother and I moved her to Nottingham from Bolton just before Christmas last year

This is shot at about f2.8 and as you can see the lens is a keeper. Not a bad lens for the price of a bottle of wine

Why have 3 vintage Helios' you may ask? The reason being I am probably a bit of lens / camera geek, , They are all slightly different in design and produce slightly different bokeh characteristics

Good for mum Phil, she lets you take her photo & it wouldn’t be a quick shot...patience there! You look very like your mum! A brave lady moving to a new place at her age away from everything familiar....good to be nearer family though.
