Nottingham St. Mary's Church, West Window by phil_howcroft

Nottingham St. Mary's Church, West Window

Something a little different for my photostream, a break from my strangers and street portraits.

This is the West Window at Nottingham St. Mary;s Church in the Lace Market Nottingham.

The Great West window is dedicated to Thomas Adams, lace manufacturer and philanthropist. The design is heavily influenced by the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood and the Arts and Crafts Movement

Looks good doesn't it.

It does look very good! I've always fought shy of this sort of shot, perhaps I'll pluck up courage some day

Looks great on the Black! I wonder if the window might be even more beautiful with the westerly sun on it!

You have captured it very handsomely, Phil. Can you imagine how much work has gone into making this great piece of art in glass? It must have taken years to complete.

Beautifully photographed. In all my years living in Nottingham I never went into St Marys, so thanks for showing it to me
