Contre Jour Fishermen by phil_howcroft

Contre Jour Fishermen

I am trying to be artistic here.

Two fishermen, shot contre jour on our New Years Eve walk in on the East coast between Skegness and Fantasy Island.

The low winter sun bouncing off the sea made for some lovely light.

Ideally I would have liked a bit of seperaton between the two fishermen, but there is just a bit of a gap that allows the viewer to see them individually.

Shot with a Sony A6000, kit lens and edited in Darktable, GIMP / G'MIC

Hope you like this
Lovely light and silhouettes , one can not have separation between two fishermen comparing and boasting their fishy tales !!

@happypat Pat, thank you , you are right , in my early 365 days I did a lot of contre jour style shots. The light always makes great photos. I seem to be concentrating more on street photography portraits now !

Nice light on the shining water. You are right: it would have been better to have the two silhouettes more separated, but what can we do? We photograph what’s available. And you did a goo work of it. Fav
