Photographing the photographer (Yashica ML 50mm f1.7 vintage lens) by phil_howcroft

Photographing the photographer (Yashica ML 50mm f1.7 vintage lens)

I was walking Ruby in the Duck Park and had my Sony A7 and a Yashica ML 50mm f1.7 vintage lens.

The trees still have a bit of colour and as I was photographing, i also noticed another photographer taking photos.

I struck up a conversation with the photographer and we compared cameras. He had a Fuji X100S, with a 23mm f2 fixed lens (not interchangeable). He really liked the camera, saying it was quite liberating compared to the DSLR's and bridge cameras he had used.

I invited him to join our camera club when things return to "normal". I was going to ask him to be one of my "strangers" but my "strangerdar" wasn't working !

Parklife in Arnold

All the people
So many people
And they all go hand-in-hand
Hand-in-hand through their parklife
Know what I mean?
A wonderful shot! What is that beautiful building back there?

@marlboromaam maggie the building is the "old council house" , there is a "new council house" on the park too. There is still some offices in there, including the registrars office. It is where the bride i photographed in my previous shot was married

A lovely shot - nicely balanced with the camerman's pose and direction leading you to the pop of red as the lady sits in front of the beautiful building

Normally bumping into another dog sparks up the conversation... but a new person with a camera also works, and and lets Ruby have some time off!
