Meet Angela, who was sat on a park bench drinking a flask of coffee and some home made shortbread cakes with her friend Rebecca (who was stranger 243). Angela and Rebecca were following government lockdown guidelines i.e. they were meeting each other under the “you can meet one other person from another household in a public place, while maintaining social distancing”. They were sat apart on the bench.
Most of the story is the same as Rebecca’s story. However, when I was telling the ladies I was using a vintage lens (explaining I was manually focussing rather than pointing and shooting), Angela told me her husband used to enjoy photography in the film era. He used quality SLR’s and went to the trouble of taking lead coated bags to protect his films when travelling through airport security checks.
That’s it really, I gave Angela and Rebecca a card each and told them to email me if they wanted copied of the photos. I told them I had checked the photos on the back of the camera and the photos were good ones.
The image is shot on a Sony A7, with a vintage SMC Pentax-m 1:1.7 lens, edited in ART and GIMP..
Thank you for being stranger 144 Angela, I hope you had a good catchup with Rebecca.
All the people
So many people
And they all go hand-in-hand
Hand-in-hand through their parklife
Know what I mean?
Park life hey....come into it’s own hasn’t it? Where would we be without our parks....they get rid of our open spaces at their peril!
Fantastic photo of Angela....I’m sure they will both be thrilled with their photos....I expect they have told everyone about the day they had their picture taken by a stranger in the park!!
