Another photo of our granddaughter Willow, one for my portrait series. This is Willow in her car seat. If I chit chat to her I seem to be able to get a nice smile from her.
I shot this wide open at f2.8 / 75mm. I have the eyes pin sharp (spot focus on the nearest eye). Being a baby photo it doesn't need to be pin sharp from front to back, the softness in the right places creates a wonderful glow and mood to the shot.
BTW: There is a nice little video of me and Willow singing "Three Little Birds" on my Instagram account
I think Willow is going to have loads of photos at every stage of her life Phil! She is a lovely baby & I’m sure your are all besotted as you should be! The video is charming!
