Once In A Pink Moon

The 'Pink Moon' is the fourth Full Moon of the year and always falls in the month of April. The April moon owes its unusual name to a type of pink American wildflower which blooms around this time of year.

For some reason, though the website I got this description from says the moon tonight will NOT be pink, as we were heading home Carole suddenly said "look at the moon" and I'm pretty damn sure, it's pink.

Yes, that is pink! And I think the flower they are referring to is called "Spring Beauty". It's a very delicate little wildflower that blooms on the forest floor- a very dainty pink, but definitely pink! Beautiful moon shot!
