Wish I hadn’t Started This II

The wallpaper is coming off, eventually. Supposed to be one of those “tear off the top layer (the pattern) leaving behind the paper that you soak and simply remove” Yeah right, like that happens. Seems to be 3 layers that each need a good soak.

Hey ho. When I’ve done this, the walls will need a good clean with ‘sugar soap’ to get rid of excess wallpaper paste, and then I can paint the ceilings with that magic ‘pink paint’ that dries white. My timeline is 7 weeks as that’s when the new 2 piece suite arrives.
You’re doing a great job Phil!

I understand fabric softener works better than wallpaper remover and it's cheaper too.

Wow! Well you are surely making progress!

Good luck! Intrigued by the fabric softener suggestion above! I have always scored the wall and used s steamer but whatever works for you. So many techniques out there.

Sounds like a tough job, but love how you made the photo very cool with the special lighting.

I hate taking down wallpaper. Your light really puts out an interesting pattern.

We ended up putting a layer of some sort of paint the makes it a new wall, so we did not have to pull off the wall paper. Some of the wallpaper was so stuck we pulled holes in the wall. I am impressed , this is looking good!

This is looking very good - but I can't imagine how much work that is!

Don't envy you the job - we are having new windows soon so it will be decorating time in every room! 😨
