FlashOfRed #16

Had a lovely day out in the Spring sunshine with Carole at Roche Abbey (which was closed) and Consibrough Castle (which, thankfully, was open) and now home.

Continuing this week’s ‘same subject, negative space’ in 2019s Falsh-of-Red challenge, so returning to the Chessboard and King, this is today’s offering.

Thank you for your views, comments and favs on yesterday’s photograph taking it to the PP. Much appreciated.
I really like your depth of field on this one. You have done well with your chess knight.

The more times I look at this, the more I like it. There is some powerful emotion in the way this is composed. Big Fav!

A 2nd comment, if you don't mind. One of the reasons I love this shot, is it reminds me of an opening scene from the classic TV show The Avengers, with Patrick Mcnee and Diana Rigg. Just great!

I love the subject you chose for this week’s theme. This is another terrific shot. The way the chess piece points from the corner seems to lead the eye right into the rest of the frame.
