Safe Landing by phil_sandford

Safe Landing

Not a clue what birds these are, possibly Herring Gulls?
5 or 6 were standing around, taking off, whirling about in the sky and landing, and apparently having a ball. With my 70-300mm telephoto lens, just following them was hard enough (lots of photographs of sky) but on review, I had a few really good ones, this of one just about to land, being the best.
Great capture. We had so much fun taking these!

@joannakate Thank you. They are juvenile Herring Gulls (had it confirmed) and were seemingly having a ball)
