Early morning stroll through a local wood today; lots of damp, dark areas which have proved to be a breeding ground for all kinds of fungi. Took loads of pics and choosing what to post has, again, proved difficult.
This group of small and quite delicate mushrooms were growing out of a moss covered tree stump; took lots and lots of pics from various angles and this is the shot I've decided to share. I like the colours, I like the shades, I like the POV and I like the fact that there should be an Enid Blyton (Kid's author from the 60s for those born in the 80s or later :-) ) pixie sat on one or more of them. Hope you like it also?
@paul10 Thanks Paul. I've been looking at your mushroom pics recently and using them for inspiration. I actually went to those woods today as the early morning sun streams through a part of dense firs. Today that was rubbish but the ground was teeming witj mushrooms and, voilla.
@phil_sandford I knew what you meant mate :) I think it's great when photographers can be inspired by others, I think that's what this site is all about, it certainly is for me. I was also inspired to shoot mushrooms because of images I'd seen on here :)
