Late Blooming Alcea by phil_sandford

Late Blooming Alcea

Find it staggering to believe that as we enter the last month of November, I still have Alceas (Hollyhocks to you and me), not only in flower, but with numerous buds atop the flowers waiting to come out. I know it's been a mild Autumnal period, but this is ridiculous (really nice to see, but ridiculous nonetheless).
10 x Macro filter, manual to try and get dof; not bad on black either if you feel so inclined

It's gorgeous here today. Don't think Mother Nature knows what season we are supposed to be in at the moment. Made a lovely picture for you though mate. Very nice 😉

@paul10 I agree, would rather be on a golf course than sat chained to my laptops (yes, laptops plural) - but am able to pop outside now and then and enjoy this late late warmth. Thanks the view and comment Paul

Love hollyhocks! I had never noticed them before, but they grow well around here and many have them in their yards. They are so much fun to photograph!
