Winter Sunset by phil_sandford

Winter Sunset

Taken this evening across the Box valley from the outskirts of Corsham. Such a cold day, with clear skies all day, I actually got here 30 minutes or so later than I wanted (damn work got in the way).
Camera on manual, no manipulation after taking it.
That's a great capture. I love that mist in the distance.
Work does have a tendency to get in the way of us doing what we want.

@30pics4jackiesdiamond No. Camera on tripod, controlled from iPhone. Pitch black to naked eye, thin hue of red from sunset at top of hills, aperture wide open, long exposure to get this, the best of around 20 and exactly what I wanted. No shivering involved.

This is incredible. It is fantastic what modern cameras can pick up in almost total darkness. Got to be a fav.
