A cold, damp, misty and foul day here in the Shire. Haven't ventured far today, in fact no further than the conservatory to get this shot.
We have two nesting pairs of blackbirds in our garden; it can get quite feisty as they are as territorial as Robins when they want to be.
As a ground feeder, and 'soft bill' they are also something of a bully when it comes to chasing the other birds, such as the Robin, Dunnock, Chaffinch, Wren etc, away from spilled seed.
One of the most common birds in the UK, it is a member of the True Thrush family
@ziggy77@padlock@brennieb@susiemc@dawnee@boatman137@beryl@elisasaeter@lynnz Many thanks for your views and comments. Begining to run out of birds in the garden to photograph, so you will hopefully begin to see other threads :-) @paul10 Thanks mate. Must admit to thinking that myself when I write "the shire" and not "Lincolnshire" :-) :-)
