Lilly Stamen

Macro shot of the inside of one of the Lilies in the 'bunch' of flowers I bought for Carole’s visit down to Wilts the weekend just gone. I'm always mesmerised by the inside of flowers, they always look like something out of alien ………………..
I had also forgotten how unpleasant the smell of lilies are to me; there are two in the bunch and the flat reeks of them; I think they could be in the bin before the evening is out

Lovely photo..yep.know what you mean about that alien thing...can't stand the smell of lillies either...thy know better than buy them..odd occasion they are in bunch.they end up in the laundry

Great colours, nice composition. It seems you have a similar strategy to me, flowers make a good fall back when nothing else is available. Not easy though - and I avoid lilies, horrible smell.
