Carole put up a shot this week of our Magnolia tree, as I did on Sunday of one of the buds. So apologies in advance as it’s taking centre stage again today
I'm in quite some discomfort at the moment, after the removal of a broken tooth (through sheer brute force it came out in pieces - my jaw feels like it's been battered after 10 rounds with Mike Tyson) so I'm not particularly inclined to travel farther than the back garden for a photograph.
As Carole also said, it's a shame that these gorgeous flowers don't last long; the pavements are already littered with them in the town I stay in during the week in Wiltshire (a few weeks in advance of us up here in the Shire, when it comes to the seasons)
Off to lounge in the conservatory with my kindle now and to try not to drool too much into my handkerchief.
So sorry you are in such pain. Hopefully it will subside soon.
Beautiful magnolia blossoms. I've never seen a magnolia tree with so many blossoms and no leaves.
