Weather was as forecast today, foul. We were always planning on visiting the Eden Project whilst down here, and the weather made it today.
If you don't know anything about the Eden Project, then you can read about it here
Basically, 20 years ago it was a disused, empty china clay mine; it was bought by Sir Tim Smit in 1994 after a group of friends, in a pub, thought up a plan to build a bio-diverse attraction in Cornwall. Opening in 2001, we first visited in 2004, and some 13 yrs later, visited again today.
Two huge 'Biomes' one tropical, the other mediterranean, both house thousands of plants from around the world. The grounds house even more.
If you're ever in the St Austell area of Cornwall, it's worth putting a day aside to visit.
