Unknown Poppy by phil_sandford

Unknown Poppy

Given up with any plans to travel this week, so continuing to work from home, which permits me to wander the garden with a coffee now and then during the day (and spend my evenings with @carole_sandford which is nice)

I love these flowers; I've seen them on here recently, from somebody else doing the project who said they were a type of Poppy?. They curl up at night and uncurl during the day, reamining curled up if the weather is poor.

I planted them, completely by accident, when I bought a bag of random flower seeds to put in a couple of borders at the front of our house; these flowers went absolutely mental and took over everything, including the front lawn and I've spent many years now attempting to remove them as I have now planted shrubs in those beds. These gorgeous flowers however continue to survive and come back, and I've now actually given in tearing them up as I like them so much.
Lovely colour! Ithink these are known as California Poppies.
