Coming in to land

A foul day today if you've been out in it, for gardeners, it's very welcome.

I've been at home all day, chained to two laptops and have been watching the birds fighting over the feeders. It appears we have a family of Starlings now taking advantage, bullying the smaller birds.

Took a few shots of them, and kind of liked this one, with the the Blue Tit coming in for food, with the Starling totally oblivious to its presence (at the same time a Goldfinch and Grenfinch happily eating away)

@johnsutton Sunflower hearts, Niger seeds, standard seed, peanuts and a fat slab plus mealworms on the tray, and water. Rolls Royce of feeders. That doesn't take into consideration the feeders on the trees in the rest of the garden 😜😜

You've got quite the avian congregation going there. When we had a feeder up at our old house, I remember the bluejays always scaring all the other birds away.

Nice capture. Starlings can be very, very annoying. We had some try to start a next in our porch. They attacked us every time we walked out the front door. I finally put up a fake owl and haven't seen them since.
