Last one from my stroll around Bath on Monday evening. This taken from immediately under the main doors to the Abbey, looking heavenwards. The sky and clouds contrasting with the warmth of the Bath stone I thought was beautiful.
Hope to have time to take a photograph for tomorrow's offering.
Yes. Have taken the plunge into full-frame photography. As you know, I borrowed a colleague's EOS 5D for a bit and loved it. I just can't justify £3.5k for a camera (and that is without a lens), I'm not that good, I am not a pro photographer, so I've bought the EOS 6D, which is consumer entry level for full-frame and is basically a full frame version of the EOS 750D that I was using (and I know you use). The EOS 6D Mk2 is out very soon and that reduced the price of the one I've bought.
It's brilliant. With f2.8 L series lenses (Tamron vice Canon as they're about £1k cheaper - though mine came with a 30-70mm F4 lens)
@phil_sandford I'd love to mate, but with three kids, and the youngest at seven, I think it'll be a while before I can justify any kind of upgrade let alone this kind. I wish I could class myself as good enough (or brave enough for that matter) to take the plunge, but I think I'm a long way off persuading my wife it would be a good investment. And I don't agree that you are 'not that good' mate. I think you're doing just fine and have produced some lovely images. Just keep doing what you're doing. It's all about the journey and learning along the way from your mistakes as well as your victories. I'll be watching with interest what you get up to with your new toy. Enjoy it mate. You've earned it :)
With regard upgrading camera? Might have done 😜😜
