Buddleja by phil_sandford

Buddleja

The heatwave over the UK at the moment is having quite an effect on the plants and wildlife of the country. The Buddleja is blooming, but not for long, the flowers very quickly go over to a crisp brown.

I caught this bumble-bee flitting around drinking his fill from the flowers that hadn't yet gone over; they, like many of the UK residents, are struggling.
Nice capture I like how you've caught the light on the flower and 🐝 :)

Nice capture. I can understand about your heat wave. We are having the same weather.

That's what's happening to mine, too. Don't last long enough for a butterfly to find them. Good dof.

A lovely shot and lighting. We've just had about 8 months of it, so you can imagine what our gardens looked like. Fortunately it survives quickly after the rain.

That is one big and fat bumble bee who is, BTW, - a girl! The male bees are very lazy and never leave the nest until the queen boots them out!
Hopefully your drought ends soon so the bees can make enough honey for the winter.
