Avro Lancaster

1940s weekend in Lincoln; had a great stroll around the bailgate, and witnessed the fly past of the Avro Lancaster from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF). This was one of the best photographs I managed to get of this magnificent plane.

Thank you for your follows, views, comments and favs; always appreciated

What a marvelous plane. I love the event’s name, “1940’s weekend”!

Nice to see the Lancaster. I always prefer to call it by its name the City of Lincoln rather than Leader which is the current paint scheme. Seems rather apt considering where you saw it :)

A classic plane. The first Lancaster I saw flying was over Lincoln too, many many years ago.
