Gerbera Macro by phil_sandford

Gerbera Macro

Catching up on missed days this week (very busy at work); using flowers purchased by Carole and the macro lens (with tripod and remote control shutter release (Carole says I have tremors))

Actually had to Google this morning aperture settings; despite having (many moons ago) a Pentax K1000 SLR (wet film) and of course only manual settings, I couldn't for the lift of me remember how to use the f:stop to get dof; is it highter number for more, lower number, for the life of me I couldn't remember. Brain is going to mush.

Thanks as always for your follows, views, comments and favs
Bigger the number smaller the hole greater the amount in focus. Chant it every time to myself!!

I do know the f stop is all about light too. Low light, low number and so on. I like this macro and the blurred edges. It’s lovely.

@phil_sandford Smaller the number, bigger the hole, greater the bokeh!!!!!! That works too.

It is all so confusing to still, just won't sink in. Maybe the chant will help me too. Lovely shot.
