It always surprises me when our Magnolia blossoms; I bought it many years ago from a garden centre near Stamford and drove it home to Lincs with it sticking out of the car window. Planted it in the back garden and a year later moved it to the front. When we moved in 2005, I dug it up and transported it 8 miles further north in the county and planted it in the front garden, only to move it again to the back garden (where it's been ever since) a month or so later. Over the last 14 years or so, I've culled branches to make it harder for the squirrel to get to the feeder, and to 'shape' it but I'm pretty sure Monty Don would say it should be dead.
Anyway, it's a good pink for the 2019 rainbow challenge (and when I took it, the sun was out which was an added bonus)
Thanks for all your follows, views and comments on yesterday's offerings; as always, much appreciated.
