Cone Flower Macro by phil_sandford

Cone Flower Macro

Again, the 90mm macro lens, laying on the newly mown grass (which was wet as I’d given the new border a bit of a soaking after I’d cleaned and refilled the birdbaths) to try a different composition. As I was composing this shot, I noticed that the water from my watering the border was very slowly dripping down the flower to the tips of its petals and dripping off; I was very fortunate (after umpteen attempts) to get one of those drops falling off the petal.

Thank you for your views, comments and favs on yesterday’s offering. Much appreciated.
Great detail, dof and love the raindrop! Lying on the grass: I have happy memories, cannot do it now!

That's a lovely wee droplet. The flower reminds me of the pom poms I used to make at school a million years ago when you wind wool around two cardboard doughnut shapes!!
